Supporting the infertility couples

To get rid of the social, medical obstacles of the pregnancy and delivery, we support the partial medical expenses to the infertility couples who need the treatment for the infertility, such as the external fertilization procedure or the artificial insemination procedure so that the infertility couples can have a happy family with their children.

  • subject :

    • A person whose wife's age is under 44 years old on the very day of application
    • A person whose monthly income is under 150% of the domestic household's average monthly income

  • qualification to apply :

    • Legally married infertility couples who can submit the doctor's medical certificate which they need to an external fertilization procedure · external fertilization : medical certificate from the ob/gyn specialist (wife), medical certificate from the urologist (husband) · artificial insemination : doctor's certificate)
    • A person whose wife's address is registered in Gangbuk-gu
    • * exceptions of the company-sponsored health insurance : in case the evaluation amount of their car is over 30 million KRW (the vehicle registration amount of the automobile insurance) or the comprehensive real-estate holdings tax subject of year 2009

  • Criteria of the income distinction :

    • - one's expenses of the health insurance expense according to the number of the family members, and the subscription types (March, 2010)
    • period subject the term of validity
      1st 4 months after the birth 4~6 months after the birth
      2nd 9 months after the birth 9~12 months after the birth
      3rd 18 months after the birth 18~24 months after the birth
      4th 30 months after the birth 30~36 months after the birth
      5th 42 months after the birth 42~48 months after the birth
      6th 54 months after the birth 54~60 months after the birth

  • Support content :

    • procedure : proceed after receiving the application decision notice, in case of a miscarried woman after the 1st procedure, she can apply to the 2nd procedure (submit the doctor's written opinion)
    • support amount and the number of times of support :
      • external fertilization(1.5million KRW for each time, maximum 3 times of support for 1 person, the minimum living cost recipients : 2.7million KRW for each time, maximum 3 times of support for 1 person)
      • artificial insemination
        (0.5million KRW for each time, maximum 3 times of support for 1 person, the minimum living cost recipients : the same condition)
      • If the procedure cost is within the range of the support amount, we support the procedure cost only
